Meizu MiniOne M8 is already out

M8 phone is made by Meizu. Perhaps this brand is not famous in many countries, Meizu has been renowned for making nice MP3 players with remarkable voice quality.

When iPhone 2G just came out, M eizu had immediately responded with design pictures with similar graphs like iPhone 2G, at that time copycat cries were heard all over the net, but after two long years, the first phone of the very company finally came out in mainland China on December 2008.

Here are some specs:
Talk Time: 370 minutes
Standby Time: 179 hours with SIM card, 374 hours without SIM card
Music playback time: 21.5 hours
Dimensions: 108mm x 59mm x 12mm
Weight: 118g
Misc: accelerometer, Light detection, Infrared range detection, touch screen.
Camera: 3.2 Megapixels

. . . and of course, no 3G. Besides, 802.11g wi-fi and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR+ support are deliberately omitted in the mainland build as a compliance to the State Law of China, but there is the hardware and one can easily unlock the functions.

Meizu M8 is based on the relatively unpopular Windows CE 6.0, but its speed it impressive. Worth a try if you can get one around. If you shop by Internet, just don't get ripped off, never pay 500€ for the phone. We have reliable sources confirming that the new version with wi-fi, bluetooth, multilanguage support international version will be available on March 2009.
